Sardar Ismail Dahri, a former advisor to the Chief Minister of Sindh, has been detained following the discovery of five kilograms of hashish in his vehicle.
The arrest occurred during a police operation in Latifabad, where Dahri and an associate were apprehended. In addition to the narcotics, authorities also confiscated a Kalashnikov rifle and a sum of cash from Dahri’s possession.
During questioning, Dahri admitted to his involvement in the narcotics trade. The police indicated that Dahri’s drug addiction and the narcotics found suggest his potential involvement in drug trafficking, though the investigation continues to unfold.
