Diddy appears 47 times in a newly revealed police interview transcript. He faces allegations of offering “millions” with the murders of Tupac Shakur and Death Row Records head Suge Knight.
The allegations originate from a confidentially recorded 2009 interview with Duane “Keefe D” Davis, who currently awaits trial for his role in Tupac’s 1996 murder. Prosecutors have introduced a 180-page document containing Keefe’s full transcript, illuminating Diddy’s alleged role in the crime.
In the transcript, Keefe describes his position as the “boss” of three Southside Crips involved in the murder. When Detective Long from the Las Vegas Metro Police Department inquired about Diddy’s involvement, Keefe confirmed it with a simple “Yeah.” He further claimed that due to Diddy’s intense animosity towards Suge Knight, he had instructed Keefe, “Ah, st, I’ll give anything for that dude’s head.” Keefe also recalled that Diddy, then known as Puffy, declared in front of 45 people that the bounty on Tupac and Suge’s heads was “mother-fking millions.”
Despite these accusations, Diddy has consistently refuted any connection to Tupac’s murder, dismissing such claims as “completely ridiculous” and “pure fiction.” He has never been arrested or charged with the case, and Las Vegas police do not consider him a suspect.
The court documents emphasize these allegations amid an ongoing investigation into the high-profile murder case. The filing emphasizes Diddy’s alleged fear of Suge Knight, with Keefe recalling that Diddy wished for Suge’s death because “he was truly afraid of that guy.”
These revived allegations against Diddy have rekindled public interest in the decades-old murder case. Alongside this, recent court documents hint that sealed files from the Notorious B.I.G.’s murder investigation might also reveal ties between prominent figures from the 1990s music industry and these criminal activities. These developments complicate a case that remains a focal point of public fascination and debate.
