A Brazilian court has lifted the blockages on Starlink and X accounts following a transfer of 18.35 million reais ($3.31 million) to the nation’s coffers. This decision, made by Brazil’s Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes, comes after heightened legal tensions involving billionaire Elon Musk.

The financial transaction effectively resolved the fines levied against X, totalling the same amount previously demanded by Brazilian authorities. The fines were initially imposed amid an escalating dispute between Musk and Justice Moraes, although specific details of the feud were not disclosed.

The court’s official statement on Friday confirmed that the resolution was due to the transferred sum equating to X’s total amount owed in fines, thus fulfilling the financial obligations that had led to the account blockages. This action clears the way for Starlink and X to resume normal operations within Brazil, removing the legal hurdles that temporarily hindered their activities.

The lifting of these sanctions marks a significant turning point in Musk’s disagreement with Brazilian judicial authorities, providing a pathway towards normalized relations and operational continuity for Musk’s ventures in Brazil.
