A 25 kg bomb found near RCD Highway was defused by the Bomb Disposable Squad by midnight Wednesday.
The bomb was found near a petrol pump located on RCD Highway around 8:00 pm. The police cordoned off the area and called in the BDS to defuse the bomb.
Official sources said that the bomb contained small pieces of iron, nuts and bolts and huge destruction was avoided through defusing the device.
