DG ISPR has confirmed that army Chief General Raheel Sharif was asked by the Prime Minister to mediate the diffuse the political crisis.

DG Inter-Services Public Relations Maj Gen Asim Saleem Bajwa on the microblogging site twitter confirmed and said “COAS was asked by the Govt to play facilitative role for resolution of current impasse, in yesterday’s meeting, at #PM House.”
