Mutahidda Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain on Tuesday demanded of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and its leadership to investigate threatening statement from PPP parton-in-chief Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari against him.
Bilawal gave life threatening statement against me on October 6, 2014 and the PPP must now investigate it within 15 days, Altaf said in a statement.
Addressing a gathering of family members of people killed in the 2007 Karsaz blast, the Pakistan Peoples Party chairman on the first day of Eidul Azha had called upon the MQM chief to ask his ‘Namaloon Afraad’ to take caution. Bilawal had warned that if any PPP workers were hurt, he would, like the London Metropolitan Police, make the MQM chief’s life miserable.
In his statement, Hussain asked on what basis did Bilawal level such allegations and issued a threat against him. If Bilawal fails to clarify his statement, then I ask my legal advisers to initiate lawful action against the PPP patron-in-chief.
He demanded the Sindh government, PPP leadership and Governor Sindh to investigate Bilawal’s statement within 15 days.
