Adobe has officially launched its Photoshop app for iPhone, bringing a suite of sophisticated editing tools to mobile users globally.

Adobe’s release follows the earlier release of the Photoshop app for iPad, enhancing Adobe’s presence in mobile editing platforms.

The Photoshop app for iPhone incorporates several powerful features from Adobe’s desktop application, tailored for a seamless mobile experience. Users can now leverage advanced artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities through tools like Generative Fill and Generative Expand. These features utilize Adobe’s proprietary Firefly AI model, allowing users to modify images by adding or removing content and expanding images beyond their original borders using simple text prompts.

Core Editing Tools and Premium Options

The app includes essential editing functionalities such as layering and masking and access to Adobe’s extensive asset library. While the basic version is free, comprehensive features like Magic Wand, advanced blend modes, and additional AI tools are available through the Adobe Creative Cloud Premium subscription.

Available as a free download on the App Store, the Photoshop app for iPhone offers an introductory plan in India priced at Rs. 799 per month or Rs. 6,900 annually. This plan includes access to premium features essential for professional editing.

Designed with mobility in mind, the Photoshop app for iPhone features an intuitive interface that simplifies on-the-go edits. It ensures that users can perform detailed image modifications, colour adjustments, and layer manipulations directly from their phones. The integration with other Adobe apps like Adobe Express and Lightroom allows for a fluid workflow across platforms.

Storage and Collaboration

With the free plan, users receive 5GB of cloud storage to manage and store their projects, facilitating easy access and sharing across devices.

As the mobile app market grows, Adobe’s latest offering on iPhone sets a new standard for mobile photo editing, combining professional capabilities with the convenience of a smartphone application. This move is poised to strengthen Adobe’s position in the competitive app market, catering to professional designers and hobbyists seeking robust editing tools on their mobile devices.
