SEVILLE, Spain: Lamine Yamal’s 50th assist became the latest milestone in the 19-year-old’s career as Barcelona beat Sevilla FC 3-1 at Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán on September 19.
Yamal created two of Raphinha’s three goals, supplying the cross for his 52nd-minute header before releasing the Brazilian for Barcelona’s third in the 69th minute. Raphinha had earlier equalised in the 22nd minute after Ibrahim Fofana put Sevilla ahead.
The assists took Yamal to 51 assists in 159 first-team appearances for Barcelona across all competitions, according to Opta data. He reached the 50-assist threshold at 19 years and 68 days.
Opta’s comparison makes Yamal the youngest player representing a La Liga club to reach the milestone since at least the 2013-14 season. Real Madrid winger Vinícius Júnior previously reached 50 assists at 22 years and 298 days.
The distinction is important: the 51 assists are Yamal’s Barcelona total across all competitions, not 51 La Liga assists. His 2026-27 league tally stands at four assists after seven matchdays.

Raphinha’s hat-trick completed Barcelona’s seventh victory from seven league matches, leaving Hansi Flick’s side on 21 points. Yamal has seven La Liga goals and four assists this season.
