BROOKLYN, New York: The Shakira Ghetto Kids reunion took place at Barclays Centre on July 21, when the singer brought the Ugandan dancers onstage to perform “Dai Dai.”
The appearance came during the second Brooklyn date of Shakira’s “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour.” Her official schedule listed concerts at Barclays Centre on July 20 and 21, while Billboard identified the Triplets Ghetto Kids among the second night’s special guests.
Eight young performers appeared in matching yellow outfits as Shakira introduced them individually before the performance, according to the supplied account. As the song ended, the dancers gathered around the Colombian singer and lifted her into the air while members of her touring team provided support.

Shakira, Nigerian singer Burna Boy and Uganda’s Ghetto Kids performed “Dai Dai” during the July 19 final between Spain and Argentina. Shakira’s official website lists the track as a collaboration with Burna Boy.
The Ghetto Kids are connected to the Kampala-based Inspire Ghetto Kids Foundation, founded by Dauda Kavuma. The organisation says it uses music and dance to support children living in disadvantaged or unsafe conditions in Uganda.
