Seven infants in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) died due to lack of oxygen in the cylinders at the Vehari District Headquarter Hospital earlier today
According to the details 14 babies were kept in incubators and seven out of them died when the supply of oxygen got terminated. Unconfirmed reports suggest that the ventilators were malfunctioning as well.
The relatives claim that it is the negligence of the staff that caused the incident and staged a protest against the hospital administration in front of the hospital building and urged chief minister Punjab to take notice of the incident.
