In its counter blast to Jamat-e-Islami’s stinging remarks, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Tuesday blindsided the former for its alleged ties with extremist militant groups.
“JI better come clean on their association with al Qaeda, Taliban, and Daish (Islamic State of Iraq & Syria) before the nation,” MQM Rabita Committee said in a statement issued here.
Upping the ante, the MQM also claimed that a number of high-profile terrorists had been arrested from the homes of top JI leaders.
Meanwhile, the party’s London-based leader Altaf Hussain condemned the targeted killing of its workers on Tuesday.
“These targeted cold-blooded murders of our activists from Karachi’s Gulbahar area are a premeditated conspiracy against the MQM,” the MQM leader said.
“Cowardly attacks like this cannot deter our courage,” Hussain said urging his party workers to stand united and continue peaceful struggle for the party goals.
The MQM termed these killings as ‘political/ethnic cleansing’.
