Two Frontier Corps (FC) personnel were killed in a terrorist attack on a check post in Orakzai Agency earlier today while 15 militants were killed in retaliatory action.
Militants mounted an attack on the check post located in Shirindara area, however, were effectively repelled.
“More than 50 militants attacked the check post. Two soldiers embraced shahadat while 15 terrorists were killed in an exchange of fire,” a senior security official told the media.
Another security official confirmed the incident and casualties.
Security forces cordoned off the area and started a search operation in the area soon after the attack.
