Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Islamabad on Monday accepted bail of 103 Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers and ordered authorities to release them.

The PTI activists were accused of attacking Parliament House and other government installations on August 30. They were booked under Section 7 of Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA).

The ATC judge Attiq Urrehman accepted their bail plea and ordered release of the workers against furnishing of surety bonds of Rs.50,000 each.

Prosecutor told the court that no arms were recovered from the suspects.

On the other hand, a Judicial Magistrate in Lahore also accepted bail of at least 34 Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) activists who were earlier sent to jail on judicial remand.

The 34 workers, who were arrested on Saturday and later sent to jail on judicial remand, were ordered to submit Rs.50,000 security bonds for their release on bail.

The bail pleas were not opposed in the court as all the sections included in the case were bailable, police officials said.
