Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) warned the AIG Police Karachi not to accused against the political party.

A statement issued by the MQM Rabita Committee said.“Additional Inspector General of Police (AIGP) Karachi, Abdul Qadir Thebo should do his crime-fighting job, instead of poking political statements at the MQM,”

The MQM also blamed that the top management of Sinhd Police is the godfathering the land and water-tanker mafias in Karachi.

The statement also rasied few questions “What has the AIGP done so far in this regard? Did he take action against the cops who have been found guilty of running private torture cells? How many activists of the outlawed outfits have been rounded up since he assumed his office? ”

Earlier, the AIGP Sindh claimed that moles in police ranks were being culled and the involvement of MQM in  factionalism.

The AIGP also claimed that “Rifts among various groups within the MQM are widening. A flare-up in their conflicts could prove disastrous for the metropolis. There was no political party that could be said was free of militant or criminal elements.”
