An Xbox server outage affected thousands of users on Monday, July 27, as sign-in and game-launch complaints surged past 3,000 on Downdetector.
Users reported that they could not launch games, access online services or verify digital game licences. Some players encountered error code 0x87e107df during the disruption. Hindustan Times reported that complaints later declined but remained elevated.
Several affected players said restarting their consoles or switching to offline mode did not resolve the problem. Dead by Daylight players also reported persistent initialisation errors.
Users posted complaints on Downdetector and X, seeking information about the disruption and a possible restoration time.
Microsoft’s official Xbox service-status page continued to show services as operational during much of the reported disruption, according to International Business Times Australia.
