WASHINGTON: The White House appointed Real America’s Voice correspondent Beni Rae Harmony as an assistant press secretary on Friday, bringing the 24-year-old broadcaster into the Trump administration.
Harmony confirmed the appointment on X, writing that she was “joining the Trump Administration as Asst. White House Press Secretary”. She had covered the White House for the conservative network since joining it in September 2025.
Her appointment comes while the White House press secretary post remains vacant. According to reports from TMZ, she is scheduled to officially begin her new duties on Monday, October 5, 2026.
Harmony, who previously served as the Chief White House Correspondent for the conservative network Real America’s Voice, confirmed her transition from reporting into the administration’s communications team in a post on X.

Karoline Leavitt left the role at the end of August, and Vice President JD Vance and other administration officials have since handled press briefings.
President Donald Trump said when announcing Leavitt’s departure that she would remain involved in his political operation. Leavitt had cited the demands of the job and her family in explaining her decision to leave.
