The bomb disposal squad defused three bombs placed in a house in Faqeer Kalay area of Peshawar.
According to the police, motorbike riding gunmen opened fire at a patrolling officer yesterday night, in which he was injured. In retaliatory fire the officer injured an attacker.
During subsequent investigations Police found the identity card of a man named Ilyas from the place of the incident and conducted a raid at the address in Faqeer Kalay area along Panjgai road. Police found a large quantity of explosives, a home-made bomb device, two grenades, four receivers and other equipment used in bomb making.
The bomb disposal squad defused all the bombs. According to police accused Ilyas has been wanted in targeted killings and other crimes.
