Drought situation in Sindh’s arid region of Tharparkar claimed the lives of seven more children on Wednesday.

The death toll of children in Tharparkar has increased to 167.

It should be noted that several children breathed their last in the drought stricken area on Tuesday as well.

Insufficient rainfall and lack of vegetation significantly contributes to the famine situation in the region which causes malnutrition in mother which leads to health problems amongst the children and infants.

The regions continues to face food shortage whereas the authorities are absent in responding to the issue.
