The operation began on the special directives of Inspector General of Police Sindh Javed Alam Odho. He had assigned Senior Superintendent of Police Muhammad Kaleem, Shikarpur, to recover the child. This decision came after her abduction post went viral on social media.
Police said the May 22 raid in Kot Shahu first led to the recovery of Jennifer Amir Masih. She is a Lahore resident who had been abducted after being lured through a fake job offer. Continued pressure on the gang led to Hoorain’s recovery on May 23.
IGP Odho announced cash prizes and appreciation certificates for the raiding team. He praised the officers for rescuing both girls during the operation.
