Shikarpur, Sindh: Sindh Police launched a Shikarpur katcha operation to recover an 11-year-old girl abducted from Peshawar, saying she was being held near Kot Shahu police station.
Police said one suspect was killed in an exchange of fire during the operation. They identified him as Yaseen Banglani, who was wanted in 29 serious cases, including murder, robbery, theft and police encounters.
Sindh Police also recovered another kidnapped Christian girl, identified as Jennifer Aamir Masih. Police said she had been abducted from Lahore on April 19 after being lured through a fake job offer.
Senior Superintendent of Police Shikarpur Muhammad Kaleem Malik said the operation would continue until the abducted Peshawar girl, identified as Hooram, was recovered. He said police were using all available resources for her safe rescue.

The girl’s mother told the media that kidnappers contacted the family after the abduction and demanded Rs. 1.5 million for her release.
A day earlier, Minister of State for Interior and Narcotics Control Talal Chaudhry told the National Assembly that the child was being held in the Kot Shahu police station limits. He said law enforcement agencies were pursuing the case, and several women allegedly linked to it had been arrested.
Chaudhry said the girl was allegedly in the custody of Ali Gohar Jatoi. He told the House that members of the group claimed she had been “bought for marriage,” while the operation was being supervised by SSP Shikarpur in coordination with the Inspector General of Sindh Police.
