The Punjab Chief Minister, Shahbaz Sharif went to the house of the teenaged rape victim, who immolated herself on Thursday and died on Friday. The chief Minister assured the grieving family that exemplary punishment would be given to the culprits and responsible officials.
Shahbaz Sharif expressed his deepest condolence to the mother of the victimised girl. The Punjab Chief Minister took concerned police officials to task for their gross negligence in the gang-rape case and suspended Muzaffargarh DPO, Usman Akram Gondal, made OSD Dera Ghazi Khan RPO and ordered for the immediate arrests of DSP Saddar, Bait Mir Hazar SHO and the Investigation Officer.
