Pakistani actor Faran Tahir has reprised his “Iron Man” role as Raza in Marvel Studios’ Disney+ series “VisionQuest”, returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) after 18 years.
His appearance comes in episode six, now streaming alongside the fifth instalment. Tahir last played the character in the franchise’s opening film in 2008.
Raza enters the story as Vision tries to rescue Thomas Shepherd, also known as Tommy Maximoff, in Madripoor. Bounty hunter Paladin has taken Tommy hostage to draw Vision into a confrontation.
After Paladin’s contract is terminated, Raza arrives with armed men to capture the android himself. However, Paladin knocks him unconscious during the encounter. Raza survives the confrontation.
His original appearance placed him at the centre of Tony Stark’s captivity in Afghanistan. As the leader of a Ten Rings cell, he worked with Obadiah Stane (Jeff Bridges) before Stane turned against him.
Stane used a device to paralyse Raza, whose apparent death was never shown on screen. The new appearance establishes that he survived their encounter.
This time, Raza operates in Madripoor and wears a suit rather than his earlier military clothing. He also wears an earpiece, though its purpose isn’t established.

Deadline first reported Tahir’s casting return in January 2025. That announcement concerned the Vision television series, rather than another “Iron Man” instalment.
Actor Paul Bettany leads “VisionQuest” as Vision, while Todd Stashwick plays Paladin. Terry Matalas serves as the series’ showrunner, which follows the events of “WandaVision”.
The eight-episode season continues with its seventh instalment scheduled for US release on November 3, followed by the finale on November 10.
