Karachi: Sindh Rangers has announced a reward of Rs 2.5 million to anyone who can give information regarding the attack on a Rangers mobile in the city’s Baldia Town on Friday that left four Rangers personnel dead.
The Rangers have also made it clear that the identity of anyone providing information will remain protected.
The attack took place as Rangers stood on guard outside a mosque in Baldia’s Ittehad Town neighbourhood during Friday prayers.
“The gunmen may have come to attack the mosque. Our jawans (soldiers) who were posted for security duty stopped the terrorists. Three personnel have been martyred,” said DG Rangers Maj Gen Bilal Akbar while speaking to the media from the site.
“We are carrying out investigation of the incident,” he added, vowing that the attackers and the planners will be brought to justice.
