Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader, Qamar Zaman Kaira has clarified that his party will not accept any unconstitutional and illegal solution to the current political crisis.

Addressing a press conference after the meeting of PPP central executive committee (CEC), Qamar Zaman Kaira said in case of an unconstitutional act taking place here, government shall not be harmed, it would rather be the state and then the democracy will have to travel a long way.

He said that his party will not accept any unconstitutional and illegal move, for it will harm the state, not the government.

The PPP leader urged Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) and the government to bring some flexibility in their attitudes and to resolve the matter through talks.

He said, “We believe in resolving the issues politically and for that Asif Ali Zardari has formed a committee of PPP members, which will hold consultation with all the stake holders”.

Kaira said the committee will try to find out a solution, through peaceful talks.

Earlier the PPP patron in-chief, Asif Ali Zardari had chaired a meeting of the CEC to ponder upon the current political deadlock. He also formed a committee of PPP members headed by Qamar Zaman Kaira, to hold talks with all the stake holders.
