TEHRAN: Senior adviser Yahya Rahim Safavi said Sunday that the United States knows Iran is “at full strength and ready”.
Safavi argued that Iran’s adversaries had expected to defeat the country within days. Instead, he said, the public and armed forces stood firm.
He also praised Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei. Safavi described him as brave and said he had seen him at the front three times.
The latest remarks follow an earlier warning from Safavi on September 24. At the time, he said renewed US attacks could widen the conflict towards the Indian Ocean or beyond.

Safavi associated the possibility of conflict with ongoing fighting in the Persian Gulf, the Strait of Hormuz, and the Red Sea. Iranian officials have insisted that the United States lift its maritime blockade and halt other actions before diplomacy can be restored.
Additionally, Tehran is seeking the return of frozen assets and assurances for safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz. However, the available information did not provide operational evidence to support Safavi’s claim of readiness.
