GILGIT, Gilgit-Baltistan: The Pakistan Peoples Party became the largest party in the PPP GB Assembly count after the GB Election Commission allotted reserved seats.
The commission gave PPP 13 seats in the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly. Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz stood second with nine seats.
Chief Election Commissioner Raja Shahbaz Khan issued the notification under Article 98(1) of the Election Act, 2017, and the Election Rules, 2017.
The GB Election Commission also notified candidates elected to seats reserved for women and technocrats.

The commission announced winners on 21 general seats. It withheld results for three general seats on the Supreme Appellate Court, as per orders.
The court stayed the three results pending decisions in rival candidates’ appeals.
The commission rejected PPP’s appeal against the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party’s eligibility for reserved seats. PPP can challenge the decision before the Supreme Court.
