Karachi: Police on Thursday claimed to have demolished a Taliban office located in the Manghopir Sultanabad area of the city.

An operation against criminal elements present in the area was conducted by police. The destroyed office had been in the use of the Taliban for three years. Police said they had discovered laptops and extremist literature at the office.

25 people were also taken into custody during the operation while some criminals managed to flee after opening aerial fire.
