Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif earlier today performed the groundbreaking of Dera Ismail Khan-Hakla Motorway at Yarak, near Dera Ismail Khan.

The total stretch of the motorway would be 285 kilometers that would be completed within two years with the cost of Rs.129.782 billion.

The project is part of the western route of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

The motorway project comprises several bridges and interchanges.

Passing through less developed parts of the country the motorway is expected to bring enormous economic benefits by creating new business and employment opportunities.
