PM approves up to Rs9.43/ltr reduction in petrolium prices

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif approved up to Rs9.43/ litre reduction in the prices of petroleum products.

The decision was taken by the PM while chairing a meeting of federal cabinet in Islamabad.

The government announced that petrol price has been reduced by Rs9.43 per litre, that of Kerosene oil by Rs8.16/litre.

Per litre price of High Octane was reduced from Rs.131.13 to Rs.116.45, whereas diesel price was reduced from Rs.107/litre to Rs.101.21/litre.

The new prices will be efffective from 12:00am tonight.

The PM said in a statement that government is decreasing prices of petroleum products despite opposition’s protest which caused huge losses to the national exchequer.
