Under Section 144 (6) Cr.P.C. the government of Sindh has outlawed pillion riding on motorcycles for three days with immediate effect.
The ban will be effective from July 18 (12:00 AM) to July 20 (12:00AM) in Karachi and Sukkur Divisions as a security measure during the observance of Youm-e-Ali (A.S).
According to a handout issued by Home Department, “the ban shall not be applicable to women, children below the age of 12 years, senior citizens, journalists, personnel of law enforcement agencies/security agencies in uniform, and employees of essential services.”
