Operation Zerb-Azb: Two security men martyred in ambush

Two security personnel were martyred and another injured in gun attack in Mirali tehsil of North Waziristan where Pakistan Army has launched an all-out ground operation as part of its anti-Taliban Zarb-e-Azb operation,

According to officials, the attack took place in Mirali tehsil where a vehicle carrying security personnel from Khajuri checkpost to Miranshah came under militants attack near bypass.

Two soldiers were martyred while another was critically injured, officials said, adding that the attackers managed to flee.

Airstrikes have killed over 300 militants in North Waziristan since the military offensive begun on 15 June.

House-to-House search of Miranshah town was carried out by infantry troops and special service group yesterday. The troops have recovered underground tunnels and IEDs preparation factories inside the so far cleared area.
