RIYADH: US Air Force tankers topped Flightradar24’s most-tracked flights list, the tracking service said on X. Users were also watching aircraft travelling to and from Saudi Arabia’s capital.
The post shared a multi-aircraft tracking view. It provided no confirmed tanker count or mission details and did not identify individual refuelling aircraft models.
Aerial refuelling aircraft extend other military planes’ range by supplying fuel during flight. US tankers include KC-135 Stratotankers and KC-46A Pegasuses, which support long-distance air operations.
However, Flightradar24 did not specify whether either model appeared in its tracking update. Public flight-tracking platforms can display military aircraft that transmit location signals.
Some aircraft do not broadcast publicly accessible tracking data, leaving gaps in what observers can see. The most-tracked list reflects viewer interest rather than the number of military flights operating.

Although users were closely monitoring the aircraft, the tracking update did not establish whether US military activity had increased around Riyadh or elsewhere in the Middle East.
