Karachi police has allegedly shot dead a notorious gangster after a fierce gun-battle in the slums of Manghopir area on Tuesday.
Mehfoofullah aka ‘Bhaloo’, which literally means bear, was wanted for more than hundred counts of violent crimes like manslaughter, assault, aggravated assault, kidnapping, armed robberies, rape, weapons offenses, possession of illegal arms, etc.
Additional Inspector General of Karachi Police, Ghulam Qadir Thebo, has announced a reward of Rs500, 000 for the team of Crime Investigation Department (CID) officers, which carried out the successful operation risking their lives.
According to officials, ‘Bhaloo, who was once a part of a political party’s militant wing, had also been doing the deadly biddings of an outlawed militant organization.
