A suicide bomber has killed at least 15 civilians at a market in Maimana, the capital of Faryab Province, in northern. Afghanistan.
Provincial Governor Mohammadullah Patash said on March 18 that dozens of others were wounded when the bomber, who was driving an auto rickshaw, exploded his device near a checkpoint at the entrance to the crowded market.Abdul Sattar Barez, deputy governor of Faryab Province, said all the victims were civilians on their way to work in the morning.
