Famous Bollywood actor, Kunal Khemu and runner-up Miss Grand International 2015, Vartika Singh were attacked by a violent mob during shooting for a song in Lucknow.
A mob of people marched on the set, vandalised everything, and pelted stones at the cast and crew. During this attack, Kunal Khemu was injured and his injuries included cuts and bruises.
A group of people attacked them, raising objections to the shoot.
It is said that the crew did not have the required permission to shoot at that location.
The shooting of the music video was stopped and cops were called when things got out of control. Many crew members were injured by the time police arrived to take strict action.
According to BollywoodHungama, Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan who has lent his voice for Kunal Khemu was on his way to the set when he was informed to return back to his hotel.
The website reported that the angry mob of people attacked the set as producer Nikhil Dwivedi’s team had not obtained proper permission from the local authorities
But, Nikhil rubbished the claims stating that they had all kinds of permissions. A complaint has been filed against the people who ransacked the set.
