The Lahore High Court (LHC) Monday directed Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to meet Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan by tomorrow in a bid to defuse current tense political situation.
Hearing a petition seeking restraining order against PTI’s planned ‘Azadi March’ on August 14, the LHC judge Khalid Mehmood remarked that if the prime minister failed to meet Khan by tomorrow then the court would issue an order.
He further said, “the national security is in danger and the prime minister’s ego may not lead to disintegration of the country”.
