SEOUL: LG Energy Solution BESS technology has qualified for NVIDIA’s DSX Ready program, giving the South Korean battery maker a new entry point into power infrastructure for AI data centres.
LG Energy Solution Ltd. (KRX: 373220) said September 22 that its AC energy-storage system meets applicable NVIDIA DSX requirements for battery energy storage systems.
NVIDIA launched DSX Ready with BESS and cooling-distribution equipment as its first two categories. The qualified LG system uses modular 2.5-megawatt, 5.1-megawatt-hour battery blocks.
The company said the design supports AI load smoothing, voltage ride-through and grid-forming functions intended to improve power reliability for large computing facilities.
LG Energy Solution identified its LFP-based JF2 AC Link as the qualified product. The company said its modular architecture allows operators to add capacity as power requirements increase.

NVIDIA said DSX Ready is designed to identify products that meet applicable requirements from its AI factory reference designs. At launch, qualified BESS suppliers included LG Energy Solution, Hitachi Energy and Tesla.
LG Energy Solution said it operates five regional production facilities in North America. Moreover, the company expects to secure more than 50 GWh of LFP battery-cell capacity there by the end of 2026.

However, that figure reflects a company production target rather than an independent market forecast.
Chang Beom Kang, head of LG Energy Solution’s ESS Battery Division, said the qualification would support the company’s expansion into digital infrastructure as demand grows for large-scale power systems serving AI facilities.
