Bloomberg News reported that the CEOs of OpenAI and Nvidia will visit the UK to pledge billions of dollars for data centre investments. They will join US President Donald Trump during his visit. The project, led by London-based Nscale Global Holdings, aims to boost digital infrastructure for AI and cloud computing.

OpenAI’s Sam Altman and Nvidia’s Jensen Huang are key figures in this plan. They are working with Nscale Global Holdings to support the data centre project. The investment meets the growing need for advanced technology infrastructure. Other US companies from various industries are also expected to announce major investments in the UK during Trump’s visit.

Nvidia chose not to comment on the report. OpenAI, Nscale Global, the White House, and Downing Street did not respond to requests for comment outside regular hours. The lack of official statements keeps details limited, but the project’s scale has drawn attention.

The demand for data centres is rising rapidly due to the growth of AI and cloud computing. These facilities power technologies like ChatGPT and other AI tools. The UK investments show how tech leaders see the country as a key hub for digital innovation. This move could create jobs and strengthen the UK’s role in global tech.

This investment highlights the global race to build AI infrastructure. With leaders like Altman and Huang involved, the project signals confidence in the UK’s tech future. It also shows how US-UK ties could shape business during Trump’s visit. The focus on AI underscores its growing impact on the world economy.
