Real Madrid beat Real Oviedo 2-0 in LaLiga on Thursday. However, Kylian Mbappé, who was benched for 69 minutes, became the main flashpoint. This happened after the forward questioned his role.
Gonzalo García scored Madrid’s opening goal before Mbappé came on at the Santiago Bernabéu. There, sections of the home crowd whistled the France captain, according to match reports.
Mbappé told reporters after the match that he was fully fit. He also said manager Álvaro Arbeloa had told him he ranked behind Vinícius Júnior, Franco Mastantuono and Gonzalo García in the forward line.
