The judicial commission constituted to probe Model Town mayhem on Friday started recording statements of police officials and witnesses.
Justice Ali Baqir Najfi of the Lahore High Court (LHC) recorded statements of witnesses after receiving reports from IG Punjab and Director General of Lahore Development Authority (LDA).
On Thursday, Justice Ali Baqir visited the headquarters of Minhaj-ul-Quran International and inspected areas affected by anti-encroachment operation and police raid.
Meanwhile, leaders of the Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) refused to appear before the commission.
