DOHA: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi received US feedback on Tehran’s seven-day proposal during talks with Qatari mediators on Tuesday night, an official briefed on the Iran-US talks told Reuters.
The official said both sides’ main disagreement concerns the order of the proposed steps rather than the plan’s elements.
The proposal seeks to build trust between Washington and Tehran. It envisages returning to an enhanced version of a memorandum of understanding the two countries signed in June.

Separately, Qatar confirmed on Tuesday that its mediation efforts were continuing. Dr Majed bin Mohammed Al Ansari, an adviser to Qatar’s prime minister and spokesperson for its Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said meetings and message exchanges remained underway.

Araghchi is due to discuss the US feedback in Tehran on Wednesday, according to the official briefed on the negotiations.
