Tehran: Iran Army Ground Force units are fully prepared to give a decisive response to any potential threat, Major General Ali Jahanshahi said.
According to Mehr News Agency, Jahanshahi, commander of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army Ground Force, made the remarks during a visit to the 71st Mechanised Infantry Brigade, Abuzar, in Iran’s western border region.
He said the units were ready to carry out assigned missions and confront threats against the country.
Jahanshahi said sustainable security in border areas required continued deterrence capability and operational readiness.

He said the security of Iran’s borders came from the readiness and presence of the Armed Forces. The commander also thanked Ground Force personnel and commanders for their efforts.
Jahanshahi said the force would continue to improve its combat readiness to defend Iran’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity.
