Anjum Shehzad’s long awaited Mah-e-Mir is finally set to be released in cinemas on May 6.
The producers released an official trailer which adds scenes from the initial teaser with new visuals and more of Sarmad Sehbai’s poetic dialogue.
Mah-e-Mir flits between past and present, as Fahad Mustafa stars as a writer struggling to grasp the mystique of the poet Mir Taqi Mir and then takes on the guise of the poet himself when the film travels back to the Mughal era. Iman Ali stars as Mir’s object of desire and her character is said to have a metaphorical significance in the film.

The film, partly set in the Mughal era, boasts elaborate sets – Screengrab“The cast and crew is very excited that the film is finally going to be released. It’s now close to what we want it to look like,” Anjum said, referring to the delayed release of the film, which was earlier slated for a November 2015 release.
