The Anti-Terrorism Court Rawalpindi acquitted Malik Ishaq and 10 other accused in three terrorism cases. Malik Ishaq, the central leader of the outlawed Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, was acquitted by the anti-terrorism court Rawalpindi in three cases registered at Talagang, Hazro and Mangla police stations.
The court released 11 accused including Ishaq due to the lack of evidence.
Malik Ishaq faces several charges of terrorism including his alleged involvement in attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team in Lahore. The LJ is one of the most vicious terror outfits in existence and has claimed responsibility for the murders of hundreds of shia muslims.
