According to ISPR, approximately more than 37,000 people have been rescued by army during ongoing rescue and relief operation in flood affected areas of Multan, Bahawalpur, Muzaffargarh, Uchsharif, and Athra Hazari.
Seven helicopters have flown for 206 hours since September 5, while 300 boats are also involved in relief and rescue activities during the rescue operation. ISPR stated
ISPR also stated that more than 80 tons of ration have been dropped, besides 18 medical camps established by army doctors. During the rescue and relief operation, a Naib Subedar embraced martyrdom in Multan during rescuing civilians.
