Just days after the Pakistan army engaged terrorists in Waziristan, Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Shareef left for South Waziristan on Tuesday.
The army chief will visit field formations and review the operations going on in the agency.
Sharif will meet the troops in South Waziristan and also be given a briefing on the security situation in the agency.
