PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi will hold a press conference at the Chief Minister’s House on Friday at 3:00 pm PKT.
Sources said that Afridi is expected to announce plans concerning the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) long march. Provincial cabinet members and party parliamentarians will accompany him.
PTI leaders have discussed postponing the march into October. During an earlier leadership meeting in Peshawar, participants proposed an all-parties conference between October 6 and 10.
Discussions covered contacts with Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) and the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP). Participants urged the leadership to accelerate engagement with opposition parties.

Party leaders also reviewed their provincial organisations in Sindh, Punjab and Balochistan. Other proposals concerned transferring PTI founder Imran Khan to a hospital and seeking concessions for Bushra Bibi.
