The former prime minister of Pakistan Shaukat Aziz has agreed to record his statement in a high treason case.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) said on Wednesday that the former prime minister, in an email to the FIA, has confirmed his availability to record his statement at his Dubai residence to be testified as he could not travel to Pakistan.
A two-member team of FIA, comprising Additional DG Wajid Zia and Director Maqsoodul Hassan, would record his statement in Dubai.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif would give the final approval of for traveling expenses to Dubai.
