Karachi, Pakistan: Yang Yundong’s farewell ceremony was held at the Chinese Consulate in Karachi, where the outgoing Chinese consul general met Muhammad Irfan Soomro.
Soomro, director general of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Karachi Liaison Office, visited the consulate and presented a bouquet to Yang.
He paid tribute to Yang’s services and conveyed best wishes for his future assignments and continued success.

Soomro said Pakistan-China friendship had grown stronger through every challenge. He described China as Pakistan’s trusted friend and an important partner.
He said Yang’s contribution to strengthening bilateral relations would be remembered.
Soomro added that Pakistan highly valued its brotherly ties with China. He said the relationship was based on mutual respect, trust and shared interests.
Outgoing Chinese Consul General Yang Yundong also participated in the farewell meeting at the Chinese Consulate in Karachi.
