Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri, patron in-chief of Minhajul Quran, said on Monday he will only disembark from the plane only if army takes over security measures.
Talking to media personnel on board Emirates plane, which was earlier denied permission to land in Islamabad and diverted to Lahore, Qadri severely criticized the government for diversion of the plane.
“I have no confidence on the Nawaz Sharif government and law enforcing agencies under it. I will only disembark if army provides security to me,” he added.
Qadri blamed Nawaz Sharif government for Lahore killings.
“They are the murderers…they have killed our 14 workers. This government is the biggest security threat to the country,” he asserted.
He said that his party wants ‘true democracy’ as there is no democracy in Pakistan.
